The Alcohol Reset

Is alcohol dimming your light?

We’ll work patiently and gently to reset your relationship with alcohol.

Understand & then shift your drinking habits.

This program is designed for anyone seeking a safe and non-judgmental space to reset their relationship with alcohol. This is program for those who are interested in pursuing an alcohol-free path, not a path of moderation. You’ll receive personalised guidance and the support you need to embrace transformation at your own pace. The program includes six months of 1:1 support from Claire, and over the course of these months together we will explore your relationship with alcohol. We look into triggers, programming, and the influence of peers and society on your drinking.
You will learn techniques and healthy coping mechanisms as well as develop a deep understanding of how meditation practices can dissolve the desire to drink over time.

It is encouraged that after the six months regular 1:1 work you will continue your alcohol-free commitment with Claire in the periphery for any scaffolding that is needed.

This is also a suitable support program for those who are transitioning from a recovery or rehabilitation centre and need additional accountability and tools.

This program can be completed in-person or via Zoom.

Claire has worked with hundreds of people over the years as they release alcohol from their lives. With her own long-term sobriety as the foundation of her work Claire supports Alcohol Resetters in working towards a “Paradigm Shift” when it comes to alcohol and drinking. She has seen firsthand time and time again, and knows from her own firsthand experience that it is possible to leave alcohol behind completely.

“It’s difficult for someone who has been a heavy drinker to become a moderate drinker. This isn’t something that can happen overnight, let alone over a matter of months. This is in part due to the nature of what alcohol does to our prefrontal cortex — after a couple of drinks this part of the brain (the moderator) quietens or even shuts down. The longer someone goes between drinks, the more the brain has time to rewire, and then we have time for the “paradigm shift” to occur.”

Why 6 months?

I have a six month minimum commitment required if you would like to work with me. I have seen firsthand how it takes time, months in fact to truly shift the habits and emotional, social and physical dependency that alcohol can create. It takes time for not just our bodies to detox and heal but there is also a mental and emotional detox that must take place.

I want to work with those who have come to terms with the fact that moderate drinking isn’t for them, and are committed to this path — with the full understanding that the path can be slippery, fraught, and most definitely not perfect.

Over 6 months we have time to set ourselves up for success, taking deep stock of the "wins" learning from the data we are collecting from this new-found awareness. We start to incorporate new coping mechanisms and understand our triggers on a deeper level while fostering mental clarity, breaking old patterns, building healthy habits, and creating a safe space for emotional exploration, self-compassion.
